Great news! The recipes in the program are all simple and some require no cooking at all! And while I will give a structured meal plan for the week, you’re also free to mix and match the meals to meet your schedule and preferences (and cooking skills!).
First of all, the goal of this challenge isn’t weight loss at all (although it’s often a pleasant side effect). Instead, the goal is to reset your habits and cravings, which starts your body’s natural detox process (which provides much longer lasting results than any diet you’d ever sign up for). Secondly, the majority of the meals in this challenge use whole foods that can be found in your local grocery store. (There is one smoothie recipe, but you can swap it out if you choose not to use protein powders.)
Many programs out there require you to buy a certain company’s products to “be successful.” This program is built around fresh, whole, food that you’ll buy and prepare yourself (but that doesn’t mean you’ll spend all week in the kitchen either!) In addition, I take a two-pronged approach: first we’ll change your cravings and eating habits by adjusting what you eat; then we’ll focus on helping your body detox. Because while reducing sugar cravings is a huge first step, there’s more to creating a sustainable, healthy lifestyle than eating habits.
